Reviwing Super Siah’s New Song With Top Urban Intellectuals

Written by Robert Thompson III | 2/10/21

Firstly, Super Siah came out with an awesome new song called Dark Skin Boy and was released on February 6. We admired how the song was about Urban Intellectuals, and it was helping motivate blacks. Furthermore, In his music video, there were pictures of black people hung up on the wall. As a result, we are going to tell you the Urban Intellectuals we saw on the wall.

Dick Gregory

Since, Dick Gregory was an American comedian, civil rights, and vegetarian activist. Gregory was at the forefront of political activism in the 1960s, when he protested the Vietnam War and racial injustice.  Gregory made a speech saying. “I got out of comedy because I saw a conflict in saying to young folks. “drugs and alcohol are bad”. and then coming to a nightclub and having a taste. I decided I would not take this God-given talent any further in an atmosphere where people could drink or smoke. I was one of the few entertainers who said I would not do an anti-drug commercial. Unless you hook a whiskey commercial with it.” He also was the author of the controversial “ Nigger: An Autobiography” in 1964.

Huey P. Newton

Most importantly, Huey Newton was a political activist and revolutionary. He co-founded the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense in 1966. Also, Newton overcame illiteracy and attended Merritt College and the University of San Fransico School of Law. in 1980, he earned a Ph. D. in social philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Newton allied for freedom, full employment, decent housing, education, and military exemption for African-Americans. Furthermore, he sponsored a free breakfast program for children, sickle cell anemia tests, free food and shoes, and a school. Huey Newton made a speech saying.

“I dissuade Party members from putting down people who do not understand. Maurice just wanted to preach to the converted, who already agreed with him. I try to be cordial because that way you win people over. You cannot win them over by drawing the line of demarcation, saying you are on this site and I am on the other; that shows a lack of consciousness. I could not understand why people were blind to what I saw so clearly. I then figured out that their understanding had to be developed. Unfortunately, Newton died in 1989.

Marcus Garvey

For example, Marcus Mosiah Garvey Jr. was a Jamaican political activist, publisher, journalist, entrepreneur, and orator. He was the founder and first President-General of the Universal Negro Improvement Association. Furthermore, he was also the founder of the African Communities League. The organization had over 5 million paid members worldwide, therefore, was the largest African diaspora organization of its time. In 1919, he established the Negro Factories Corporation and founded the Black Star Line, a shipping and passenger line. Which promoted the return of the African diaspora to their ancestral lands. As a result, garvey remains one of the most influential leaders of the 20th century in Jamaica.

Malcolm X

Firstly, Malcolm little considered “little” a slave name and chose “X” to signify his lost tribal name. He appointed as assistant minister of Temple Number One in 1953. In 1960, Malcolm founded the newspaper, Muhammad Speaks, to further promote the message of the Nation of Islam. He also terminated relationship with Nation of Islam in 1964 and created the religous organization, Muslim Mosque, inc. in fact Malcolm X changed his name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. He even converted to traditional Islam during his pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 1964. “If you’re not ready to die for it, put the word ‘freedom’ out of your vocabulary.” Malcolm said

Barrack Obama

First off, Barack Obama was the first African-American President of the united states. He was also the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. In 2010, Obama enacted the Affordable Care Act (often referred to as “Obamacare”), it was designed to increase health insurance quality and affordability reduce the costs of healthcare and lower the uninsured rate by expanding insurance coverage. He negotiated and normalized U.S. relations with Cuba in 2015. “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time.

“Hope is not blind optimism. It’s not ignoring the enormity of the task ahead or the roadblocks that stand in our path. It’s not sitting on the sidelines or shirking from a fight. Hope is that thing inside us that insists, despite all evidence to the contrary. Therefore, That something better awaits us if we have the courage to reach for it, and to work for it, and to fight for it. Hope is the belief that destiny will not be written for us. By the men and women who are not content to settle for the world as it is, who have the courage to remake the world as it should be.”
